The sustainability of the species as we know it
will hinge on our ability to deploy new energy production
technologies. First, these new methods must use renewable
feedstocks to produce the energy, and sustainable in the sence we
can produce enough feedstock to produce the amount of energy we
require. Second, The production of the feedstock, the reformation of
the feedstock to fuel, and the consuption of the fuel must be
enviromentaly benign. If we do not achive these goals, we are
consigning todays youngest children, most of our grandchildren and
all of our greatgrandchildren to a world of coal fiered smokestacks,
severe energy shortages, prices that make power a luxury and "energy
wars" as competion for the last of the planets fossil fuels
climaxes. People accross the planet will starve and freeze. Is this
the legacy history will lay at our feet?
- Solar Energy
- Photovoltaic
- Thermal
- High-temp Thermal
