The New Power Generation     Hydrogen Technology

H2 Prime is committed to advancing the use of Hydrogen as a primary fuel source (energy storage medium). While realizing the necessity of deriving hydrogen from fossil fuels in the near term, ultimately we must generate hydrogen via renewable resources like wind, solar and bio-generation.

Americas dependance on foreign energy sources is an energy disaster waiting to happen. It is financially ill advised at best, a grave and gathering national security threat at worst. The recent electricity shortages in California, extended outages on the East Coast and gasoline over $2.00 should provide the wake-up call we need to move towards true energy independence. SIx months of $3.00 gasoline could set off an inflationary spiral that could be difficut to stop.

It is critical to national, business and personal security that we de-centralize our power generation capacity. By developing a distributed generation capacity. America can insure our ability to provide power at the same time we minimize the temptation (and disruption) that attacks on our power generation and distribution infrastructure would cause. A distributed power generation infrastructure would also relieve considerable stress from our natinal grid system.

Looking further into the future there is no argument fossil fuels are finite resources and eventually will be depleted to the point they are no longer economically or environmentally viable. We can plan for this certainty, or let it cause major economic and social upheaval and deal with a series of ever worsening crises. We believe this process has already begun.

As humankind continues to explode in numbers , the stresses on our planet will inevitably increase. Carbon monoxide and the associated "petroleum particulates" from internal combustion engines are major health issues in many of the worlds large cities. The CO2 produced by these engines is warming our planet at an alarming rate. Coal fired electric plants spew tons of "sulfur related" pollutants into the atmosphere. The enviromental impact of fossil fuels is undeniable at both the micro and macro levels around the globe.

Developing Renewable Energy Resources     Hydrogen Technology

The sustainability of the species as we know it will hinge on our ability to deploy new energy production technologies. First, these new methods must use renewable feedstocks to produce the energy, and sustainable in the sence we can produce enough feedstock to produce the amount of energy we require. Second, The production of the feedstock, the reformation of the feedstock to fuel, and the consuption of the fuel must be enviromentaly benign. If we do not achive these goals, we are consigning todays youngest children, most of our grandchildren and all of our greatgrandchildren to a world of coal fiered smokestacks, severe energy shortages, prices that make power a luxury and "energy wars" as competion for the last of the planets fossil fuels climaxes. People accross the planet will starve and freeze. Is this the legacy history will lay at our feet?
